~Speak Your Mind~

~Speak Your Mind~
Society disguises the fact that our generation believes strongly to speak with
determination,
I challenge you to say what you believe,
but not with tragic uncertainty,
I declare that we should question authority to oppose the ‘so-called’ wisdom of
others.
You are not invisible.

Tank Man

In 1989 a group of students started a protest in Beijing. This gathering included the people who wanted to have more democracy and freedom. Then China responded to this protest with the use of tanks, and military power. They killed many people who were protesting. Even though many people got killed there was no change in China. The people still want to change it.

(What is worth fighting for?)

The people in Tiananmen Square believed that they could change China into a freer and more democratic place. The people thought they could have better life if they had a more control over the government. The most recognizable picture during the event was that of the tank man. This picture showed a man standing in front of a line of tanks. I think he was willing to fight for democracy and freedom. He was ready to die for his belief.

I think that in China the people have no right to choose the government they want. The citizens are just controlled by the communist party. If I were Chinese I may have made the same decision as the people in Tiananmen Square. I believe that people should choose there own government and have the right to be free. I imagine that this was what the tank man was prepared to die for.

Many people sacrificed their lives in Tiananmen Square, but their sacrifice did not change the country of China. The government was so scared of the protesters who wanted democracy and freedom that they brought the military into the streets. Even after the massacre in Tiananmen Square the Chinese people are still asking for more freedom to choose.

"The frog does not drink up the pond in which he lives."
~Native American Proverb

Valuing of natural resources is defined as water, air, and trees are taken care of for future generation. If given the opportunity to begin a new world, I would hope the society would be built around saving natural resources.

Valuing of natural resources is an important characteristic because it keeps us healthy by eating well grown foods. This allows for live healthier, because well grown foods give us an energy, vitamin, fats… … and lots of other nutrition, and that makes us healthy and live longer.
Additionally, it is important for a society to be built around safety, because if part of the ozone layer get destroy, than the ultraviolet sun rays light will get stronger. Than ultraviolet sun rays light will be affect on plants, animals, and humans … … every living things in earth will get affected.

Without these, the New World would be destroy easily and it could also destroy the next generation, and soon there will be a day that no one can live in New World. As mentioned earlier, Native American Proverb "The frog does not drink up the pond in which he lives." meaning Human doesn't care about what there doing, what there destroying. Every human being wants them self to be comfortable, and thats why they don't realize there destroying the world.
